And here's Jasmin with Claudia and Vic.

Claudia weighs less than 3kg now, and her kidney function is down, though she's still quite active. I'm not sure how much longer we'll have her though, and Jasmin's really attached to her (and vice versa, when Jasmin's not being too annoying). If anything happens, I think we'll have to adopt a cat from the Lonely Miaow charity, which houses abandoned cats and kittens, because she's never cuddled up to Vic. She's a bit wary of him; I don't know why.

Jasmin and friends

"Look, you don't mind if I lie on your tail, do you?"
"Not if you don't bite it. As you usually do."

"I know you're there, Jasmin. And I know what you're looking at. Don't even try it."

Jasmin and Claudia both over Greg's shoulder as he works on his PC.

Jasmin and Claudia cuddled up together on the top of a chair.

"See? I'm not always pouncing on Claudia."

Awww, the cuddling is so cute. I wish mine did. I'm happy they're willing to sit in the same room together after a year.

I didn't realise you had more than one! I only know about your lovely Princess Peach.

Ahahaha, we actually have four, but two (Felix and Annabelle) live entirely outside and are largely feral. They're very close (brother and sister) but don't really cuddle with us. The other is a little grey we've had since I was 13. She doesn't much care for the "new kid." And Peach doesn't care for her, either. But they seem to finally, slowly seem to be tolerating each other.

Sounds like Vic with Claudia and Tessa. They tolerated him but weren't that keen; they never snuggled up, but would share a couch with a bit of distance between them. I was hoping Jasmin would bond with him, but she hasn't so far. They do play a bit though.

They're not even that cuddly yet. They'll hiss if one is on the bed and the other hops up, and usually one has to slink away tail between her legs, or else they will get into a smacking fight with hissing and spitting and growling. But it is LESS violent than it used to be. I doubt they'll ever cuddle, but it's progressing.

I think it's because they were both the dominant cat. Sassy has been here longer, but Peach was 5 or 6 when we adopted her and was probably the dominate or single cat where she used to live. So both want to be the alpha, so to speak. Fortunately, when they start going at it, I make it known that actually I am the alpha and they need to cut it out. But they still bicker. Sigh.

That's a pity. Maybe they'll grow to tolerate each other better. Vic came in as an adult too.

Claudia and Jasmin do fight, but then Tessa and Claudia did too, when play got a bit rough. They always make it up though.

I'm not sure what do do about the next cat, but I suppose it depends on how long we have Claudia. I'm thinking either one about Jasmin's age at the time, or one about a year old, because I think she needs a stabilising influence.

Yeah. It's been a year and they're much better, but a year also seems like a really long time too! Sigh. Oh well. At least they aren't waking me up at night with their loud rows anymore. Sassy's also pretty old, so . . . not sure how much longer she'll last. I'd like a younger cat to get after she goes. I think Peach would get along with a kitten because SHE could still be boss, and the kitten would like the mother-figure.

I agree about Jasmin. One her age or a little older would probably be best. She's too young herself for a kitten.

We still separate Claudia and Jasmin at night because the play that turns to fights wake us up; Claudia has one hell of a yowl on her. It's getting better though, and Jasmin likes to sleep in her own bed, whereas Claudia likes to be with us.
