Geekness
First of all, today is, besides being Armistice Day, my journal's birthday. It's five years old, and those have been five great years with you lovely people. This is the perfect community for introverts like me. :-)
Secondly, behold: The Darth Vader Toaster. BSG is more your thing and you'd like a Cylon toaster? It's probably sold out, but hey, you could get the real thing. ;-)
And now for your pleasure, I present Jasmin the Geeky Kitten.
Cyclotron and sonic screwdriver
Jasmin plays with her cyclotron. There's only one large yellow hadron in it, so there's no danger of collisions. There's also a stupid mouse on a spring, but she's not interested in that. She wants to see that particle accelerate.
I left my sonic screwdriver pen on a glass table (I'm using it to mark off rows on my Doctor Who scarf pattern) and found Jasmin trying to get it from underneath.
She was pretty determined, too. :-) Any strange marks on her are reflections.

Jasmin the Geeky Kitty! I love it. She looks so soft and fuzzy and very determined indeed.

Now, I've been looking for a new toaster and I think the Vader one would be just the thing. :)
Jasmin is a delight; I thought at first that you had photoshopped the image of the sonic screwdriver onto a photo of Jasmin. Great photos!

Jasmin! She definitely belongs, with those gadgets and all :-)
The last photo is endearing - this expression, the paw!

Those are great photos - she looks so puzzled in the second one, and so intent in the first and third. And how perfect that such a geeky little kitty has found a home with you :)

She certainly fits in well. :-)

And, awww, kitty and the screwdriver. So cute. <3

It was so cute! She knows what glass is because she walks around on it, but from underneath I suppose she couldn't see the reflections and though the screwdriver was floating. :-)

Darth Vader toaster... LOL.

Love the pics of Jasmin trying to get your sonic screwdriver :0)

The only way I can be on-line with her in the room (as now) is by hanging a stuffed fish on a bungee from a knob on my chair so she'll play with that and not either climb all over my desk and keyboard, or knock things over. :-P I'm sure you know what that's like, and you have two of them!

Oh, Jasmine. So fuzzy and adorable and unutterably geeky. Looks like she wants to be more sonic. ;P

Jasmin is a geeek! She sits all over my Doctor Who scarf too, and bites the yarn.

And Happy LJ Anniversary!

Thank you! :-)

Jasmin is wonderful!
I did once run across a comic in a multimedia zine where the doctor had a cat he named Harry because it was clumsy and always knocking things over.

Jasmin does that too, esp my little Romans and Asterix figures.

Jasmin is a delight and as she knows what glass is evidently she was enjoying playing with it even though she knows that she can't get through the glass. Our cats do a lot of that with the gerbil.
At the moment I'm surrounded by cats as I'm on my laptop trying to get enough energy together to get dressed for work. It's hard to move with a purring cat on top of you.

You are what we call catted! :-)

And it's just as well Jasmin didn't get her paws on the sonic screwdriver. Can you imagine how dangerous such technology could be in the hands of cats? :)

Cats can already teleport and read minds. They don't really need sonic screwdrivers. :-)

And LJ is brilliant for introverts. Especially the sort of people who like deep conversations with their friends but who aren't crazy about excessive socialising IRL!:)

So true. I love all the contact, but when I want it. :-)

And Jasmin is such a cute little cat - so adorable! The look on her face in the last picture is priceless!

Jasmin is very cute, and constantly on the go (she's sniffing my keyboard right now). :-D

And awww, Jasmin is so sweet! Those pictures are just begging to be giving te

Love the shots of Jasmine. I wonder if she could see the glass at all? Maybe it looked to her like the screwdriver was floating in mid-air?

Have been back-spying pics of Jasmin; she is beautiful! I love the little markings on her forehead - they make her look so serious :-)
Have seen Hail Mary & Mickey Mouse toasters before, but Darth Vader beats!
Must go - sis is trying to tell all about her new tattoo...

The cyclotron has lost the stupid mouse-on-a-spring and the cats still love it. Jasmin was only the size of the cyclotron then; she's about twice the size now! :-)
