Day 24 - Lighthouse

Today's entry for the naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is a lighthouse for Greg because he loves them and requested one (which I almost forgot). This is the Shabla lighthouse in Bulgaria because of his trip over there recently to see family. It's based on this photo, but I used quite a lot of artistic licence, changing it from winter to summer and leaving out some features.

That's really lovely. Summer suits it very well and your compostion is very pleasing. I love how you've graduated the sea colour and even have it lapping on the shore. Very pretty.

AAah, very nice. I really love the colors here and how peaceful it looks. You do this sort of scenery really well. I'd love to see you take twice as long, or more, and really develop one of these pieces one day.

I was going for the quick water-colour look which is why the colours are dabby and don't always go up to the lines. I think it's the only way I could do a landscape; I don't have your talent with them. :-)
