Day 6 - Space Vila!
Today's entry for the
naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is for
bramblyhedge who wanted "Vila in outer space, done in children's picture book illustration style" for her birthday.
Space Vila! With added text!
See Vila.
See Vila float in space.
Float, Vila, float.
See Vila laugh.
Laugh, Vila, laugh.
What is Vila laughing at?
Avon has just been as sick as a dog in his helmet. Wouldn't you laugh too?
My NaArMaMo 2008 Gallery is here.

What's not to love with Vila? :-D
I hope you had a great day.

On the next page, Vila jets over to Avon and helps him to the airlock and the story ends with Avon tucked up in bed and Vila bringing him a nice cup of tea.
See Avon smile.
Smile, Avon, smile.
See Avon throw a hooker boot at Vila as he leaves.

Vila bringing a sick Avon tea in bed is possibly too cute for words, though. XD

Avon of course, is dead, because if you get sick in a helmet you suffocate. *sniff* Poor, poor Avon. *giggle*

Avon's fine. He must have a modified suit, and I explained what happened next in my replies to

Oh, god, thank you. I needed that just then.

This is great, the illustration is just perfect!
I would have found that more fun to read than the Janet and John books I had to suffer through or the "Oxford reading Tree" which got inflicted on my daughter.

I hated those things so much and got into trouble for editing them when I read them out loud. I was at a small country school then so we had to make do with old books like that. So sexist too. Even as a child I could see that.
