Today's entry for the naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is for azdak who wanted a cat looking at a frog. The cat turned out to be a kitten, and the cuteness level may be dangerously high.
The shapes of both are very well done, and the blending on the kitten's fur is excellent.
Personally, I'm not sure about the contrast between the soft fur and the relatively hard, black outline. It works for the frong, which is smooth-skinned, but I don't like it so much for the furry kitten. Still, that's just my opinion.
Ooooooh! I've just got back from a day in the country to find this waiting for me and it's GORGEOUS! I love their eyes, the frog's even more than the kitten's, and the way they're quite clearly both trying to work out what on earth this strange being is with which they're confronted. You are amazing!! Thank you so much for picking up on the suggestion and running with it - I had no idea it would turn out to be so adorable!
I'm glad you like it! I was going to draw Tessa but I couldn't under the circumstances, so I decided to do a kitten rather like my late Petra (http://www.farsight.net.nz/images/petra.jpg). I made her eyes the same green as the frog's so there's a connection. :-)

Love the grass in the corner- very nice.

Ah, the grass! Now that was done with a nifty little PSE2 brush. Ha!
