Day 4 - Claudia in a ball

Today's entry for the [livejournal.com profile] naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is my cat Claudia curled up in a ball on a mat.

Claudia in a ball

I wanted to go for a very simple naive style. I put her on a mat very similar to our cushion covers because they're bright and she needed some colour.

My NaArMaMo 2008 Gallery is here.

Ah yes, it is kind of a simple naive style, and it works well for it. Especially the bright colors and things. I like the subtle highlights and such on her fur~. Makes me miss my cat a bit ^^;.

Awww. I always miss mine when we're away. Though sometimes I'm over-catted. I'm having to type round Tessa.

My cat lives at my parent's house and I couldn't take her with me when I moved to my grandmother's because she doesn't like them; plus there's little room and my mother is allergic.
My clingy as all hell bird keeps me company, but I do miss my cat. It also makes me sad to leave her at home since my dad hates her, and I'd take much better care of her ^^;.

Bum. Is there a chance you'd get a place at some point where you can keep her? Or find her a home near where you are with people who'd look after her well? Poor cat and poor you!

Well, I don't see myself moving out anytime in the very near future since school and things. I think eventually we might end up with her even against my grandmother's protest whenever my mom finally gets away from my dad/the house, which is good. Her dislike of cats is one of those irrational old people prejudices that they have until they're forced to hang out with whatever it is they aren't fond of. I think it would be alright. Though she's such an affectionate/friendly cat that maybe my grandma would get annoyed ^^;.

She's not necessarily badly taken care of, and she has a lot of freedom at least but my dad doesn't give her much attention (but also she hates him back, she has good judgment ^^) and she she's long haired and needs to be brushed sometimes. Which doesn't happen;.

As long as he doesn't maltreat her, that's good. Long-haired cats do require a lot of attention. The one was had when I was a kid had to be brushed or she got balls in her fur which had to be cut out.
