Definitely not cricket

I finally saw the footage. That is incredibly unsporting. I'm so glad we won, and on the last ball too. Ha.

What's next, underarm bowling? OK, that's mean. It wasn't the bowler's fault, but the captain's.

It was the captain's fault in both instances - and against the spirit of the game.

Greg Chappell ordered Trevor Chappell to deliver an underarm ball.

Paul Collingwood declined to withdraw the run-out appeal.

I just really hope we win the next game and the series.

From the radio commentary I agreed with you. But when I saw the footage it looked more like obstructing the field to me. He set off on the wrong side of the pitch, running into Sidebottom who was trying to get to the ball.

Neither one intended the collision though.

Yes, it was a complete accident, which is why Collingwood should have been more sporting about it.

There was an interview with Swan on the radio today and he said they weren't even aware that there was anything controversial about the appeal until after they left the field at the end of the match.

The other thing the interviewer wondered about was the effect of the Stanford winner takes all prize fund when that match is played. What will happen to sporting conduct and how will team mates react to a situation like the last ball of yesterday's game.

I hope they'll have all got over it by then, and anyway, Collingwood won't be playing which will probably help.

Yes, a change of captain (plus the fact that England didn't benefit from the incident) will go a long way in calming everyone down.

Collingwood's been banned for four one-day internationals, but nothing to do with that incident. It was a repeat offence within 12 months on slow over-rates.

Well, it wasn't an offence, just not in the spirit of the game.
