Star Trek fan collective sets

Since [livejournal.com profile] glitterboy1 asked, here are the episodes included in my two Star Trek 'fan collective' boxed sets.

Captain's Log
So-called because each captain's actor chose their favourite episode, the first one listed for each series. There are also lots of special features and interviews with cast.

TOS
The City on the Edge of Forever
Balance of Terror
The Enterprise Incident (two Romulan eps)
TNG
In Theory
Darmok
Chain of Command, 1 and 2
DS9
Far Beyond the Stars
In the Pale Moonlight
What You Leave Behind, 1 and 2
Voyager
Counterpoint
Flashback
The Omega Directive
Enterprise
Judgement
First Flight
These Are the Voyages

Time Travel

TOS
Tomorrow is Yesterday
The City on the Edge of Forever (again!)
TNG
Yesterday's Enterprise
Cause and Effect
Time's Arrow, 1 and 2
All Good Things
DS9
Little Green Men (joy!)
Trials and Tribble-ations (even more joy!)
Voyager
Year of Hell, 1 and 2
Endgame

I've just started on the first set. I agree with some of the picks, can't really remember others, and don't know if I'll put myself through that year of hell again.

Yes, those are some great DS9s.

They are! I'm deferring the pleasure so that it will be greater.

Just reading through that list makes me want to watch some Star Trek. XD

Somehow I'm not surprised you dislike my favorite Voyager episode.

[grin] And I'm not surprised you do!

It's a good list, and a nice way of hitting the highlights. I'll have to keep an eye out for more 'fan collectives'.

Aaah, these sound like fun watching. Although a pity City is on there twice. Yes, a good episode, but surely they could mix it up a bit? Alas. I'd sub "Amok Time" in there for one, probably.

I feel bad about how litle Trek I actually know. I'm familiar with the TNG ones, and the Enterprise ones. I know most of the TOS ones and I've seen the Tribble DS9 one but I don't know any of the Voyager or the other DS9 ones. XD I just never got into either of those shows, alas.

Though perhaps that will soon change with DS9.

DS9 is great: quite different from the others and with some wonderful characters: it has Garak, though not enough of him. Their tribble ep is a thing of joy because the crew (which includes Worf) dressed in the old uniforms and went back in time to Kirk's Enterprise. They do such a brilliant job matching old and new footage. :-D

The other DS9 time-travel one there is a Roswell one and also lots of fun.

Yes, I remember watching the Tribbles one when it aired and being quite amused by it. XD I watched the first disc of DS9 last night, and that was fun. So maybe I'll catch up on it. It never impressed me when it was airing, but I gave up after about a season.

It has some stuff that annoys me (like just about all the space Palestinian Bajoran stuff--I much prefer the Cardassians) but it also has some of the best stories and characters in ST.
