Doctor Who news

The BBC have announced the new Dr Who's companion on their cult TV site, and I have severe reservations. I don't know her but she appears to be a blonde bimbo Britney clone, but who knows. I enjoyed the previous companions guide and there's a lot of other interesting information about Doctor Who on the site.

Her other claims to fame include perpetrating saccharine pop half a decade ago, and marrying some 'celebrity' DJ almost twice her age. I haven't seen any of her more recent creative efforts, but it may be that she's matured into her acting career by now. We Shall See.

I'll put my claws away now, shall I? ;)

I thought that was pretty accurate, actually.

I suspected as much from what I read. :-(

I guess I should mention that, when I mentioned this to [livejournal.com profile] altariel1, she reported seeing a fairly positive response from online fans. We'll see....

Well, that's encouraging.

I liked the previous companions guide, thanks for the link. Smiled when I found out that Zoe was a librarian, and winced when I found out that Mel (Bonnie Langford) was supposed to be from Pease Pottage which is a small place about 3 miles from my parents house in my home town.

Eee, mushy peas or pea soup? You guys have such lovely place-names over there.

It goes well with the area! It consists of about 40 houses, one pub, a wholesale florists, a couple of warehouses, a golf club, some offices and a motorway service station as it is beside the M23. Just about perfect for Bonnie Langford.

LOL!
