No, Orac keeps wicket for Blake's XI. He's the best at sledging. Jarriere does it for the Federation XI. (There is a Chris Blenkarn story fleshing out the very first match we staged at a convention - don't think it's online, though.)

I have Vila as a fast bowler, but yes, when fielding, he'd be right out at the boundary where the balls have lost a lot of force and he can daydream a little. I think he'd be a reasonable batsman though.

Gan would be a great wicket keeper and a good batsman when his mighty sweep connects, but I thought Blake would be captain. Avon has a googly delivery that always makes Vila laugh, especially since he never has to face it.

We did ask Gareth while we were playing the first match, but he couldn't remember. It wouldn't really matter, either way; bowling left-arm and writing left-handed don't have to go together.

Is that right? Interesting! Now I think of it, Vila drank with his right hand and he's certainly right-handed in this icon. I wouldn't be surprised if he's adept enough to bowl with his left for an added advantage.

Thank you! My resolution to get more Jarriere into my life is working already! Can't immediately find the scoresheets of last year's match to find out how he batted, but I know he's a damn fine wicketkeeper.

More Jarriere? Hmmmmm. I've been RPing with two new fans; we would welcome a Jarriere when you have the time and inclination to play. We've got a system: it's not real time--just when you can comment--and people take turns so no one gets left out. Of course they're new games starting afresh since the original one was abandoned due to lack of interest from other players. We can offer S2 and PGP.
