I was puzzled by the large envelope from an Aussie uni in the mail. It was Chronicles #69 -- my very first trib copy! Yay!

'Work Experience', the PWB where they give Vila a choice between retraining as a computer tech or going to Cygnus Alpha. Vila chooses [gasp!] work and ends up in a cube farm with Avon. No-so-OC Jon Heeton was my revenge on the bastard who was the reason I resigned from my last job.

BTW Andrew Williams illo'd it (Lovely Vila pics) and made me the reporter as an in-joke.

I opened my first trib copy in the uni post room, whither it had been sent... thank God it was ttba, which had an innocuous cover! I was more careful by the time Angelfood came along...

Congrats on your first trib copy! Can't wait to get my own (although the postal service here has been so bad recently, it'll probably be weeks before I see it) and read your story. Yay!
