Nerdiness

You know you're a nerd when:

  • you admire the perfect gradient from dark grey to light from one corner to the opposite of a winter sky
  • you laugh at a passing Jeep that has lost its 'J'
  • you want the t-shirt one of the IT Crowd (British comedy series about programmers) is wearing: black with 'meh' in small white letters
And maybe also when you do [livejournal.com profile] lizamanynames' new YouTube meme
Go to YouTube and enter your name into the search engine. Post the video you like best from the first page of results.
My choice is a speed painting of John Locke from Lost by Nico di Mattia. He takes a while to decide when and how to colour it, but I didn't mind. It's Locke!

He also does Spiderman and Transformers amongst other stuff.

Wow, that's a really good Locke.

It is! It was freaky when he made the eyes really blue.

I'll agree there!

I just realised--he painted from the same picture as this icon!

the painting is great!

Those time-lapse paintings are fascinating to watch. I'm not sure how they do them: lots of screenshots, or something automatic perhaps?

I want that t-shirt, too!

This is my video choice - the best (and cutest) of a mostly bad lot: Trixie washing Pyewacket's face.

Cute! They're like my two little girls.

I would have fallen about laughing at the Jeep. 'eep' is a great word. In fact I might have customised it to read 'meep' a la cats in Gaiman books.

I also want the Meh shirt!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2007-09-26 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
They're both great words. Do you like 'Black Books'? In the shipping forecast episode, Fran actually says "eep". :-D

The 'meh' t-shirt would be easy to get from one of those places that print pictures and text on them to order. [considers this]

Hee hee hee, you saw an EEP! *uses her eep! icon*

Also, yayay! People doing my meme!! You got much better results than me.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2007-09-27 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
[uses her own eep icon]

I was very pleased with my results. Maybe you'd do better if you just used 'Liza'? I tried my surname as well and got nothing (hardly surprising), then it by itself out of interest but most of the vids were Polish. Figures.

Nah, that just nets me a load of Minelli - DO NOT WANT

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2007-09-27 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. I hadn't thought of that.
