Ficathons

The Finishathon voting has ended, and there was only one vote between each of the three stories I submitted, which got 11, 12, and 13 votes respectively. I'm relieved however that the winner is the one that isn't likely to turn into a novella. I have no idea how it ends, but I suppose I can just start writing and see where it goes.

I have till 26 October, so I should knock my Labor Day party one off ASAP as that's due in two weeks. I have however yet to think up what to write about "clones, androids, or robots", great topics though they are. Ideas would be welcome.

Yes, the voting for yours was very close. But amazingly enough, I wasn't biting my nails (like I was for the vote on Jedi Buttercup's offerings) because I didn't mind which one won, they'd all be good. 8-)

So, that's the "prompt", is it? Okay, here's a few ideas:
- Vila gets cloned by an alien cloning machine, and he tries to get his clones to do his work instead of him, but they don't want to.
- Avon's been replaced by an android, and nobody notices except Vila.
- Orac is tired of having to be carried around, and wants a robot/android body. However the easiest one to create is a copy of the Avalon android...

I wrote a silly story with androids (http://www.farsight.net.nz/fiction/pgp3.htm) once where Vila's one just didn't work. ;-) Those are nice ideas though.

Well, I hope to be helpful. 8-)
