Day 14 - James Mason with tea

Today's entry for the [livejournal.com profile] naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is number 2 in the "men at your service" series, and is for [livejournal.com profile] redstarrobot.

James Mason with tea

My NaArMaMo 2007 Gallery is here.

Curious; I never imagined James Mason as a waiter. Am I missing something, or is this just one of your fantasies ?

It's the dedicatee's fantasy. Her life would be infinitely improved with James Mason as her butler. And I think this picture proves the case.

Or, at least, when I'm ill or otherwise incapacitated. Someone's got to bring me tea anda stiff drink. And I suspect he's very good at making both.

WOuldn't it be an inducement to incapacitation?

Hooray! For once, he did bring me tea when I'm ill. :)

It had to happen one day!

It is amazing to me that you have drawn James Mason in what looks like only a few strokes and I can't produce a face that looks human let alone looks like some specific person if I tried from now to dooms day. Coffee in bed from him as a butler and I might never get up.

You and me both, which is why I'm constantly in awe of people who can draw things that actually look like what they're supposed to be.

And it's good to see James Mason filling his long-desired role at last. :)

It's something I've always done. When I was bored at adult functions as a kid, I'd draw people in the air, even erasing the bits that were wrong. People must have given my parents pitying, sympathetic looks. :-P

Everyone's got different talents. I'm in awe of people who can sing or dance or even both at once. And you know, graphics software has made it incredibly easy for me: instant erasure, layers you can delete or alter, repositioning of bits...

I drew stick figures as a kid, and never progressed beyond them. :)

Well hey, neither has xkcd! ;-)

Heh. Yeah, it's nice to be in company like that, I guess. :)

Ah but the human brain is very good at recognising faces. Ever seen them in old-fashioned wallpaper?

I did find a photo of him on the web to work from. :-)
