Day 7 - Plush Cat

Today's entry for the naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is one of the many plushies I own (cats, two owls, a lion, tiger, leopard, cheetah, and white tiger cub currently mauling my Darth Tater). This is one of the most recent ones, and I thought drawing a couple of them over the month would be good practice as they're 3D, some are very lifelike, and they don't move. I don't buy plushes indiscriminately, I'll have you know. They have to have a personality and seem to be asking me to take them home.

Not the best topic when Tessa is at the vet's, but I'd already started it when I noticed how bad she was.

This one was a good one to start with because she has very simple colours and I'm short on time tonight.

I have a toy cat that was a promo from a cat food manufacturer. He's got a cunning mechanical widget inside, so if you squeeze him he makes a bubbly purring sound.

That's cute! I've seen ones that purr but their batteries probably run down quite quickly.

That's the cool things about Pepper. Because the purr is mechanical, he doesn't have batteries to run out.

Tessa has to go to the animal ophthalmologist today. The lesion's too bad for the vet to deal with :-(

She's lovely, so soft and all rich colours and quite glossy where the light hits her. I didn't do her justice but I was in a hurry due to lack of time.
