Day 6 - Self portrait

Today's entry for the naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is a self-portrait because drawanyway set it as the weekend challenge. Yes, I'm a day late.

Behold: the trademark moon face, hamster cheeks, and eye makeup. :-P

Quick and dirty colour wash, and it's literally a mirror image but that's how I look to me.

After doing that critique of my interviewing technique last semester, I can say I understand how that might be. You can reward yourself by drawing more Vila, perhaps :-)

Nah. I've noticed that fan art doesn't go down that well unless it's in another style like Molesworth or the Simpsons. I'm not sure why that is.

It's sort of like your picture of the cup, simple lines, but convey alot in those lines and the mix of colours.

Drawing self-portraits is rather uncomfortable, isn't it. I think I've got one somewhere I did as homework at High School. The only time I ever did one.

Yes - the poor woman used to be a colleague back in Hamburg. She had rather pretty facial features but her head was oddly shaped, more like a triangle than a moon. It made her look quite alien. I always thought of an ant when I looekd at her...
