Thanks for sweet comment on my journal - yes, please friend me! *Grin* as the inspiration behind my joining LJ (and so being about join B7 Friday) I think you are obliged to friend me!
Don't expect exciting reading though; I have a very boring life :-(

Ps is there any way to message someone directly? Like a wall-to-wall like Facebook has? As you know, I'm still VERY new to LJ and am having difficulty finding my way round (those smegging lj-cuts still won't work!). Take care x

:-) I've also introduced you to my friends, so I'm sure you'll have more soon. :-D BTW I did see your reply on your own LJ; you should also get notifications for any replies to any comment or post you make anywhere. If you're not and want to, tick the Emails notifications box on the comment settings page (http://www.livejournal.com/manage/comments/) which you can also get to from the profile maintenance page. :-)

There's no private messaging as such. You can e-mail people if their e-mail shows on their profile, and you can always use their LJ ID plus livejournal.com for anyone with a plus (I think), paid, or permanent account. You can see what sort of account they have at the bottom of the profile page.
