Thank you all for your lovely birthday greetings including a cat and a Vila with roses (so adorable!), Vila trying to pick a flower, a card (tiger cub between her mother's huge protective legs) from kalypso_v, and even a custom newspaper.

I haven't done much today, just a Mexican lunch out, a visit to Greg's sister where I played trains with nephew Ari, and listening to Didius Falco on the radio. I'm about to go out for a Thai dinner though, and tomorrow we go down to Hamilton for a lunch cruise on the steamboat Waipa Delta with a friend there and a walk in the Hamilton Gardens, both of which I picspammed you about last year.

Gorgeous birthday cards! Vila with roses is adorable. We watched a very youthful Michael Keating in an episode of Special Branch the other night, made back in 1969. A bit part, but of course he stole every scene he was in.
