Our cats don't seem to care. They know it's outside and it doesn't bother them. There've been bangers going off occasionally since the beginning of November.
Happy New Year to you. I'll post again after coming back from Beth and Jill's tonight. If I make it to midnight, I got 3 hours sleep last night and I've just done the Sirhowy walk.
A few hours to go here but it's roaring out there and I'm hoping the wind keeps going, spoilsport that I am, then maybe we will escape the fireworks and the animals will start the new year peacefully too.
It was pretty quite here. There were some fireworks on the Sky Tower, but most of the rowdiness happens on the beaches, but it was probably too cold this year.
Not bad! The mist is starting to clear up, and the snow is melting... I got the house vacuumed, and tonight I'm gonna go hang out with some friends. :)
I might go to the cinema later, but I'd want to eat out too and restaurants add a 15% surcharge on public holidays which we're not willing to pay; I'm sure the staff will still get the same wages (we pay them--we don't do tipping here).

I made the icon on the Bless This Chick site (http://www.blessthischick.com/).

Unless small doggies keep you up because they don't like the fireworks :-(

Wow. I've never heard of that. Here, they're either open for business as usual on holidays, or they're closed.
