Do you know Blake's 7 at all? I fell for it big time in 2001 when I saw reruns here. I have my other B7 cartoons under the Blakes 7 art tag (http://vilakins.livejournal.com/tag/blake%27s+7+art). I did Molesworth-style ones too, if you know Ronald Searle's illos for that.
I also think it inspired Babylon 5 and Farscape; JMS who wrote most of B5 was a fan and included a few references, and Farscape's about a ship of escaped convicts. :-)
Vila survived too! Terry Nation's stipulation for any sequel (and the book by Tony Attwood) that Blake was dead by Gareth Thomas's wishes, and that Avon and Vila had survived. Michael Keating also swears Vila made it to a safe planet with Kerril and runs a bar!
There was an AU ep where Homer and Marge split up and Homer was happy with the beautiful engineer with similar taste (or lack thereof) at his plant and Marge was President of the US, so yeah. She's smart and tough and deserves so much better than a pet as husband, and you can see the evil side of her family in her sisters.

My mate Mark is a big fan of Blake (he's met Gareth Thomas and Paul Darrow! And Jacqueline Pearce I'm sure!)
T'is a brilliant show, and if it weren't for that we'd have no "Firefly" I'm sure :)
Avon surely survived, so bring it back!
:D
