Character-love meme with a twist

Ooh, I like this version of the character-love meme I saw on [livejournal.com profile] selenak's LJ.

Name a character from one of my fandoms, and I will tell you in at least 100 words what that character loves best about another character from the same fandom.
It doesn't have to be Blake's 7 BTW, just something you know I watch or like.

I'll collect requests and then post them.

I seem to remember you saying you watched Babylon 5 so I'll try Michael Garibaldi

I never knew you liked B5! Ooh, a toughie. It might take me a day or so to answer these and post them.

B5 was the one TV program I never forgot to video, it was on at an ungodly hour of the morning on S4C. I have also re watched most of the series on DVD, cousin Beth is buying them. It ended far to soon for my liking.

It was on at 2:30pm on a Saturday here. I'm glad someone warned me it was coming on and it was good. It's still one of my top three SF shows.

Who were your favourites? Mine were Londo and G'Kar whom I regarded as central, and Vir who is just adorable. Actually having seen B7 since, I suspect Vir of being modelled a little on Vila; JMS was a B7 fan.

I liked Londo and G'Kar too but my favourites were Vir and Lennier though they both tie with Garabaldi. For some reason I am always more interested in the lesser characters rather than the major ones.

I usually am too, but Londo and G'Kar were fascinating. And I do like aliens.

[identity profile] linda-joyce.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
And I do like aliens

As do I, and B5 did aliens so well giving us an alien society as background not just alien looking as in Star Trek TOS

Even though Londo's was Ancient Rome in 18C dress, but I can forgive them that because he was such a complex and changing character.

[identity profile] linda-joyce.livejournal.com 2006-10-03 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
That is exactly it, the characters were so well developed.

I'll go for classic.

Servalan.

{yeah, I know, classic what???}

Bwahahaha! OK.

And I'm really meant to be writing finish-a-thon angst...

The Doctor.

[is afraid due to lack of Doctor knowledge] Which one, or can I choose?

You can choose. Any of them.

Hurley, yay!

BTW I've come to like Locke almost as much. I remember you saying he was your favourite when I'd just started watching and he was creeping me out.

[identity profile] mistraltoes.livejournal.com 2006-10-05 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Locke, yay! :) There are some things about Locke that I find a bit... less than attractive, shall we say? But that only makes him more realistic, I think.

Yes, he and Rose Tyler should go to Father Issues Anonymous. And he got very obsessed towards the end of S2, but I do like him a lot. Hey, at least he's interesting!

I was going to ask you what people love about Stark, but since nobody's done it yet, I want to know what the rest of the Lib/Scorpio crew think of Vila.

Ahhhh, nice one. With Avon, I think it changes. OK, I'll think about this. :-)
