NaArMaMo Day 21 - Cat on a rug

Today's entry for the [livejournal.com profile] naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is another cat picture.

Cat on a rug

Drawing coloured with graphics tablet
Vic, our tuxedo cat on a rug we left on a blue chair. Why do cats love layers so?

My NaArMaMo Gallery is here.

so cute.

I can't understand why they love layers, and then another time will choose what has to be the most uncomfortable position ever (like split between the window sill and the top of a desk, two different levels)

They're mysterious creatures!

How very handsome!

Cat layers are weird things. I often leave books on my bed and Noki keeps using them as pillows. Surely that can't be comfortable...

Ours might put their paws on head on one, but any piece of cloth on another? Straight onto it. Back when I used to wear skirts, if I sat down, whump, I'd have a cat weighing down the edge.

[admires icon] I should take a picture of the plush white tiger cub I have, though the actual thing's even cuter.

Um, that was meant to be 'paws or head'. :-P

Aww, pretty!

I have a cat on my lap right now. I'd ask him if he approved, too, but he is interested in nothing but having his ears scratched. :)

Awww. The girls like that but Vic doesn't. I'm guessing Vir?

Vic poses well and he always wraps his fluffy black tail round him so neatly. His markings are nice too; he looks as if someone put black paint on his back and it dribbled down the sides before it dried.

Nova. Although he's since climbed down and gone on his way. :)

All of mine like a nice ear-scratch, though they demand it to different degrees.

Oh, wow. There's something about the bare simplicity of that that just catches my breath.

You dd a fantastic job on the colouring, too.

Thanks! I was thinking of those Japanese cat paintings when I did it; their cats are usually black and white.

Another gorgeous cat picture! You know, these would be fantastic on greetings cards.

Thank you! If we ever get another printer, I could even do that! :-) Though too many people here already associate me with cats.
