Yay, I finished my finish-a-thon story and it just broke 10,000 words. Phew! [wipes brow] Now I just have to go back over it and revise before I feel it's worthy of a beta.
Urgh, yeah, I need to do a TM this month, still. Alas, despite my recent much better track record there, I don't think I'm gonna get anything written for b7friday this month. I do want to get back to the fanfic100 stuff soonish, though, even though I've pretty much decided to take that a bit slower.
By the time I got into it, he'd gotten distracted by something shiny and disappeared, so I don't know. :) Next time he's sitting by the computer, we'll see...
He's getting very big! He's more than half Nova's size now, and still growing. He and Happiness still don't really get along, but these days they mostly ignore each other, and it's OK. He and Nova have become best buddies, though, and are always wrestling with each other. I think Nova really likes having someone to play with, now that he's over being freaked out by Vir's existence. Happiness never would. :)
Friends! That's great. Claudia and Tessa wrestle a lot, but Vic's not included in that either, possibly because it took him a long time to learn how to play.
Look at it this way--when New York was still a British colony, one of the governors, Lord Cornforth, had his portrait painted in drag, on the theory that since he represented a female sovereign, he had to wear dresses.
And we're writing stories based on TV shows! So they have to be mostly dialogue!
A nice length. I kept thinking mine should be more succinct, but it 'details the difficult rebuilding of their friendship'. I just hope it's not too slow.
I'm still stuck on the last scene, and what's worse, I've got to the point beyond what I'd written before, the bit after the climax, and I've realized I haven't a clue how to actually end the story. Oh dear.
Thanks! I've worked out the ending with lovely help from aizain so that's okay. I've just sent it off to two betas, so I think I won't need to take up your kind offer, but I'll keep it in mind.
