Scarfies!

[livejournal.com profile] reapermum posted a link to a Doctor Who scarf site. I mention it because it even has patterns for the different seasons (links down the left-hand side). I'm very tempted, though I have a lovely bright stripy scarf already.

It was interesting that at the 'Inside the TARDIS' show I went to last year, striped scarves were the one fannish clothing item of choice. I suppose it's because they're more normal then most Doctor's outfits, yet still recognisable to another fan.

Loved the site... I love scarfs myself and couldn't be without them in the winter that's for sure.

I do think it's funny that you could wear a Dr Who-like scarf and generally get away with it amongst the Muggles ( :-P ) but be recognised by other fans.

I love scarves too. My striped one is my favourite because it brightens a grey day and goes with anything, but I have lots of others including silk ones and a white feathery one like Servalan's boa.

I had no idea there were so many different patterns, one for each season. The last one is the most... normal I suppose; only the length might give it away, an important feature in Who scarves. ;-) I'd go for one of the more erratic ones myself.

A white feathery one? You outrageous girl. ;-) I have some purple scarfs for the summer and I couldn't be without my black velvet one in the winter (nothing defeats wind chill like velvet).

I agree that length would definitely give it away in a Who scarf...

Velvet, huh? I didn't know it was that warm. I have some cotton neckties I use in summer. Scarves and ties are fun.
