Mother and cubs

This picture was in the newspaper today:

Craig Busch with Rewa and her three cubs (the ones I got a glimpse of two weeks ago) at the Zion Wildlife Gardens. How could I resist? They weigh 5.5 kgs each, so they're about the size of our Vic, and bigger than Claudia and Tessa.

Awww!

Have you been watching The Zoo? (In Craig's spot, Sundays 7pm TV2). The current series has just finished, but they're starting a best-of next week. Lots of cute, including serval kittens and blue ducklings.

We have! We've seen the whole series; the little servals and the golden cat cub were my favourites. Surely we'll see the orang baby though?

Ah, but they won't for long. You saw my pics of the orange cubs at 11 months. They'd wreck your apartment; the first little white ones chewed the hell out of Craig's clothes and furniture in his house. :-P

Pity it's such an exclusive profession. If you lived here though, you could probably get a job there starting as volunteer. Our guide was one.

She's not always like that. She abandoned her first cubs and it was quite dangerous for Craig to rescue them just after the birth. But he's a cat-whisperer.
