TV query

I never saw the mini, but The 4400 is starting tonight. So tell me, is it worth watching?

And while I'm at it, does anyone know the same about the Australian series The Alice? I've recorded it but Greg says it's just another soap.

Based on the mini, worth watching. We're taping it, anyway. Didn't watch it tonight, tho', we spent the evening catching up on other stuff.

The Alice

Looks like a soap to me, just from the ads. (But then, so did Desperate Housewives.) I'm not bothering with it.

Thanks for that link! I've gone ahead and ordered that; I'll watch the new stuff then go back and see the earlier eps. I did that with SG1, starting several seasons in.

We just watched last night's ep - for what it's worth, I thought the "Previously..." summarised the miniseries plot pretty well.
