The problem with our street is that it's on the side of a hill and the access to the houses on the north side is via a lower terraced access way* which is one way. Our drive goes off this at a steep angle, and because we now have to go in from the wrong direction, we have to manoeuvre in the narrow access way to get down the drive (which has another sharp bend in it halfway, or I'd reverse down). This is not fun when there's a rubbish truck wanting to get past as happened today.
* Is there a name for these?
Lunch and afternoon tea at the hotel restaurant were yummy. The constant loud music much less so, but it's the only eating place with comfy chairs and sofas. Next time I'll tough it out at home with just lunch out.
