Winter sunset

I finally figured out how to get my phone to take decent photos of sunsets without overexposing them. The sunset tonight was spectacular.

We have two of those windows, in the living and dining rooms, plus upstairs it's all the sort of leadlight with small square panes.

There area great! What did you do to your phone to get them like this? What type of phone do you use?

I had a Samsung Android before; this is a Motorola Android. I set it to manual focus and exposure until the sunset looked right.

Beautiful! I really envy your leadlight windows; it's a lovely effect with the light rippling in the textured glass echoing the light on ripples in the clouds.

I liked that effect too. Those windows are really beautiful; pity there aren't a couple more. Some houses have all the upper panes in that sort of leadlight; ours are just coloured.

The distortions in the vertical bit were very cool. We have a great outlook: distant mountains, hill with trees, public gardens, and the sea.
