David Jackson died on Monday 25 July at 71 of a heart attack. The announcement is up on the Horizon Club website along with memories and thoughts from friends among the Blake's 7 cast. They also have an obituary page.

Michael Keating said it best: "He was a gentle giant and I miss him."

Thanks for posting these links. I'm really, really sad he's dead, which surprises me a bit because I never met him or actually thought about him very much. I guess it makes me feel the passing of the years. (And dang, he was a year younger than my dad--not telling my dad that.)

I did meet him at Star One and he was a very nice person, but I think I'd still feel it if I hadn't. When people from something that seems a part of our lives like Blake's 7 or Star Trek (James Doohan) die, it does hit home. Nothing lasts. :-(
