Yum! Thank you.

Yes, it's been very hot recently, even by mid--summer standards. But that all came to an end on Thursday night, with heavy rain and thunderstorms, though we missed the worst of it here. But be the weather hot or cool, a dessert featuring ice cream is always welcome.

I heard about the flooding too - 5 weeks' of rain in one day! I hope your area escaped the worst of it.

I think we only had an inch or so here (or 25mm if you prefer), and the ground had become so dry that it didn't take the water long to vanish.
