Memey geeky me

Found on [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2's blog Maximum Verbosity, not cut because it's fairly small (half the size of my icon).

My computer geek score is greater than 71% of all people in the world! How do you compare? Click here to find out!

It also said, "Wow, it seems you spend more time in front of a computer than with people." They're right, I do. It's my job.

Actually it was quite a fun test.

Gosh, I scored a miserable 27! But then, I never made any claims to be a computer-geek. At least I wasn't in the 'tech support nightmare' category!

I'm glad to hear it (having hated doing tech support). What do you get for a 27? Congratulations on having a life? :-)

Hmmm, I scored 79, one less than needed to make "Computer High-Geek".

I'm not at all surprised, what with you hosting your website on your own server. :-)

Yeah, but since I don't host my blog on my own server, I don't think I got credit for it...

Oh, but you should have! I think your own website also counts. There you are--you're a High Geek and qualified to wear a Perl necklace.

I got 84, which is silly because you both know far more about computers than I do. I think it must be my age showing, since I've got all those old computers lying about, and I actually have played Pong and know ASCII and all that old stuff.

Wow, I don't think I've even seen some of those old machines, and anyway I was never much for reaction-time games as opposed to thinking ones where you have to work out a puzzle. [looks ashamed] I did have a rage on playing Leisure Suit Larry, a PC (but not very PC) game once.
