Yes, David Tennant looks very cool and Who-ish in his pinstriped suit and trenchcoat. And he is indeed a cool guy--because he's a fan like us! As someone posted on a B7 mailing list:

At three, he told his parents he intended to act, and, though appropriately concerned, they let the “absurdly single-minded” boy have his way. His inspirations were Doctor Who and Blake’s 7, which starred Gareth Thomas. Tennant was awestruck when they met, unable to look him in the eye, but asked the older actor to sign his DVD. “Pure adoration!”

I very much regret the passing of the ninth Doctor, but I'm really looking forward to the tenth. :-D

I'm very interested to see that Rose is staying the whole season (I'd heard it would only be half and that Jack would be back in the second half; I assume he still will be) but Sarah Jane's return is a real surprise. I hope we don't have to wait too long for it or the Christmas Special. Probably winter special in our case. :-(

We shall just have to see about that. I'm still looking forward to Sarah Jane -- it would be nice to see how they handle (a) an older Sarah-Jane and (b) her reaction to yet another Doctor. She's only met #3 and #4 hasn't she? To be told that he's regenerated six times since then - heh!

Oh, yes to both; at least she's experienced two Doctors so she can handle the concept. I'm looking forward more and more to this. And I love that we'll see Harriet Jones again, though whether she'll still be the MP for Flydale North or PM I don't know.

I'm sure I read somewhere that K9 was going to be in it.

RTD is quoted in Doctor Who Magazine as saying "John Barrowman will not be returning for the moment as Captain Jack... but if we get a Series Three, we've already started talking to John about that, so I very much hope that Captain Jack will return one day".

What I read before implied that Rose would leave and be replaced by Jack. I hope they do get a third season; if this one's as good as the last one (and it looks like it will be), they should.
