I'm back
Thanks for your support and best wishes, all who commented - the operation went well and I'm back home after two nights in hospital in Dunedin. I slept and read most of yesterday (yay for my Kindle) but I'm feeling much more lively today and haven't even had a lie down which is a huge improvement.
And while I was away, the solar installation was completed and is up and running. :-)

Sebastian likes that too, but all sorts of other positions as well: against my back, front, between the pillows (where he has access to my hair which he likes to lick though I tell him not to and pull away), all those positions but weighing down the covers so I can't get enough of them - and moving round all night. But I like him being there. Other times like last night he just comes in the morning for a cuddle.
Jasmin usually chooses between the pillows or in the curve of an arm, but she's better at staying still and sleeping peacefully. Ashley isn't much pf a bed cat but she'll come for a few hours occasionally and curl up at the foot of the bed.

Some people have wet-back wood burners which heat their water and reduce electricity needs. It's relatively common down here and we had one when I was a teenager.
Next up: a rain-water tank. It'll be good backup for emergencies and the garden, and a lot of country people have them as sole source.
