International cat day - and snow
... was probably yesterday in this time zone.
But hey, photos of all three taken since Friday here in the Oamaru midwinter.

Sebastian is unimpressed by snow.

"What is this, frozen rain?"

Though it snowed lightly all Friday morning, this is all that stayed in our garden in the shade.

Ashley snuggled up to the fireplace (wood burner)

Jasmin snuggled in a rug

Sebastian and Ashley on our bedroom windowsill in the early morning. The sea is out there past the trees, but too overexposed to see.

There wasn't much snow, and Oamaru is warmer than Christchurch and Dunedin so it only snows every few years. I think that was it.
It's now cold, clear, and feels warm if you're in the sun - eating outside a cafe is very pleasant.

Ashley and Jasmine are sensible girls. And your leaded windows look so like mine!

Greg already mentioned the resemblance a while back! I've taken some more photos of windows and views I'll post later today. All the older houses in Oamaru have leaded and crystal-glass windows, a look I really like.

What gorgeous windows you have! Does the room/shed/whatever it is at the bottom right with the stained glass window belong to you, too?

That's next door's house's veranda, a traditional old one with a corrugated iron roof. A bookbinder lives there with his sweet friendly big tabby, Noisel, who comes to visit and loves cuddles.
On the other side is a policeman and family (who all come home for lunch weekdays), and they have a silver tabby like Ashley.
Out the front (well, back really, if the front faces the road), looking towards the sea, there's just our garden, then the Oamaru Gardens, then buildings obscured by trees, then the sea, so it's really very private. I'll do another post with photos as I know Kalypso would like to see the windows too.

Oh, BTW, sorry about the other day on Ao3. I agreed with what you said completely, but I know that stuff shows up on Google, and I didn't want to leave flamebait for hatemongerers. So it wasn't me judging you in any way, just wanting to be really careful. *HUGS*

I'll post some more today of the windows and views, but we really need to redecorate the inside as the plaster's bumpy and damaged and the walls are horrible mismatching colours.
