Fic: Vilanix and the Magic Potion

This is my latest intoabar story.

Fandoms: Blake's 7, Asterix the Gaul

The Asterix the Gaul comic-book series is brilliant, trust me. If you don't know it, this page about the first book is a good start.

I only know the books from your descriptions & a few links with a general overview. They do sound like fun. Anything that uses puns for most of the characters' names is Aok in my view. :^)

That was a lot of fun, and the little cartoon is adorable. (Would Avon have a very pretty nose in this dimension, do you think?)

Someone should make that into a comic strip. Love Asterix and Obelix - my parents used to get us the books in original French to help us practice.

They're wonderful! I have several in German from when I lived there, and I wish I still had my Latin one.

I love Asterix the Gaul, I must dig out my copies and read them again. Loved this story too, it deserves being made into a book.

High praise! Greg thought it was like one of the books too. :-D

I'm going to have to reread my collection too.

Oh, this is brilliant!!! Asterix and Obelix have been loved in my family since the comic appeared translated from French after 1998!!! One of the best!!! And you can just join in! Besides, B7 fit in the story perfectly. Just imagining Avon talking to the Roman Centurion or Vila punching the soldiers...
Of course the end is great. Thank you for sharing!!!

I was so happy to get this prompt form my list of fandoms as I really wanted to write an Asterix story with Vila in it. I love those books so much!

I'm interested: in English the names are very funny, like Unhygienix the fishmonger, and Romans called Odius Asparagus and Vexatious Sinusitus. English -ous and -ic adjectives are great for that. Do the punny names work well in Czech too? In German, there are the -lich adjectives for the Gauls, like Peinlich, but it's not much good for the Roman names.

Thank you!

Another Asterix fan, I take it? :-D In fact, is that Dogmatix in your icon? :-D

Oh yes... we have most of the books and several of the movies (Sis even bought one in French:)

And yep, that's Dogmatix. I had a keybob (also bought in France) for years with him till I broke it...
