Spring flowers and cats about to spring
Our bedroom is 26C, even with the windows wide open since I get home, and too hot to sleep in right now so I decided to do the first of my planned picspams in the hopes that it'll cool down.
These photos were taken in late October/early November so yes, they've been languishing on my HD waiting to be cropped and resized etc. I am slack.
10 springy photos

A tree next to our office which was covered in bright pink flowers. I thought it was stunning but no one else noticed it till I pointed it out.

Rhododendrons, right? I've never seen so many on one little tree.

Another view.

Ashley was sitting on the sundial in our garden and looking cute, but when I tried to take a photo she rushed the camera. She's out of focus but I like the shot anyway.

Sebastian sauntering away from the sundial. Sprawled at its base is one of his favourite places to be. Now it's summer I usually find him there in the shade when I got home.

A vireya, a tropical rhododendron. It's in a terracotta pot I'll have to smash to get it out of to plant it where it can grow better.

Ashley lying in wait... (I love her stripy paws!)

... to pounce on Sebastian who knows she's there.

Feline standoff. In the end they both strolled unconcernedly away. Those two really are good friends; I usually find them together in the garden.

And finally a view I took from our hammock. :-D The red things aren't pohutukawa but bottlebrush (or callistemon if you want the proper name).
Next up: the airshow. Maybe even this week.

Awww, lovely Ollie! I do look forward to my morning Sebby-cuddles.

Many thanks for your lovely card! It arrived today and when I opened the envelope, some Warmth gave a breath at me. Really a beautiful surprise, my dear!!!
Oliver has got his winter fur and he is really beautiful. But he is a real hunter, a professional mouser now - only that he keeps bringing the mice in the house alive. He enjoys watching me when I crawl on the floor and try to get a mouse from under a bookshelf! He also likes visiting Badík´s kennel and they both spend some time there every day. When he is with Badík, I don´t have to be afraid.

Ha! I have something more for you if I can lay my hands on it after tidying up. :-)
Ollie is just gorgeous! Every time I see a British silver tabby, I think of him. His fur must be very plush these days. Jasmin's is lighter for the summer and she seems to spend her days in our bedroom, baking herself at 33C - but then she's a tropical breed.
Our guys mainly bring in live lizards to play with and we have to pick the cats up, praise them for their skill, put them gently in another room, then hunt the lizards down, trapping them in a dark tube with one end closed. Then we release them outside where no cats can see. We still find the occasional dessicated one though.
I love that Badik and Ollie are such good friends. Sebastian and Ashley are too, but I did see Jasmin and Ashley grooming each other this morning.

I regret I was not able to get another cat with Ollie. Fortunately he has Badík but my dear dog is old now, 12 years, labradors have quite a short life span...You can imagine how much I fear for him and I pamper him.
And yes, Ollie is like a plushie!!!:-)

I always worry when I haven't seen the cats for a while. Sebastian's been locked in somewhere (I think) twice now, gone for a day or so and I always feared the worst. I think he's become even more affectionate since the last time. He's sitting by me now and I'm about to pick him up and take him to bed. :-)

Great photos... loved the feline standoff. :)

Those cats are so cute, but I rarely manage to actually snap them doing funny things. Now I have a new phone with a good camera it might happen more often. :-)
