vilakins: Vila with stars superimposed (stun)

Happy New Year!

I should've posted this last night when the year was young, but after the fireworks and champagne it slipped my mind.

It's now 9:30 in the morning and so far 2004 is hot and sunny.

I don't do resolutions, but I really should try to do more fic writing and catch up on my e-mails and reading this year. I have a PGP languishing partly-written and gathering metaphorical dust and several stories waiting impatiently in my head.

I will do another drabble salvo in the Vila vs Tarrant pun war this week as a small start, promise!

It's bit late for you but early for me, as it isn't quite 9 pm here, but a Happy New Year. I envy you your weather, the forecast for our New Years Day is biting cold, high winds, sleet with snow over high ground. Hopefully my mountains won't be high enough.

The problem with hot weather is that you can't peal your skin off, while with cold weather, you can at least put another blanket/jacket/jumper on.

All the doors and windows open and a nice big fan blowing on me does it for me. I'll pick hot over cold any day--at least the miserable damp cold we get here. When I lived in Germany, the crisp dry cold was wonderful and my clothes actually kept me warm. Perfect winters and summers. [nostalgic sigh]

The weather sounds good! Half an hour to go here now:).

I also should resolve to write more fic. And do more craft. Problem is, I've been resolving that all last year and it didn't really happen. Well, a little.

Unfortunately I've 1) got a full-time job and 2) just been seduced into doing Vila's LJ and a B7 RPG and though it's fic, I really should be writing stories. Too little time...

And indeed you give us much amusement with it -- but for you it's like having another part-time job, IMHO. To keep up with it, I mean.

Avon: There's no such thing as "not enough time", Vila. Just not enough organization.

Blake: What he meant is, there's no such thing as not enough time because you're free to choose what you, as an individual, want to do.

Avon: Trust you to twist my words into an oration for the masses, Blake.

Thank you! have you been following Vila's LJ and the real-time madness that is [livejournal.com profile] b7_rpg then?

Love your ficlet!

Vila: Masses? I might be a Delta, but I resent that. Anyway there's only one of me, more's the pity. And I've got more things I want to do than time to do them in. [thinks] Would a Vila-clone work?

Avon: Not if it's anything like you.

Thanks!
I haven't quite caught up with everything on the b7_rpg -- "madness" is right, though. (grin)

Avon: Not if it's anything like you.

Cally: (slightly miffed) If you knew anything about clones, you'd know that they are not all alike.

All writing is good practice. I have many WIPs that I'll go back to when the time is right.
