Day 2 - Bromeliad

Today's entry for the naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is an attempt to do a poster-style picture, inspired by the WPA posters I discovered recently. This is one of my pot plants, a bromeliad, in fact the plant I was given when I left my last job.

It was an experiment: no outlines and a limited palette, though I ended up using 7 colours (8 with the shadow) when I only wanted to use 5.
