[sigh of relief] I posted my essay about Vila&Avon, Friendship by Any Other Name, on otf_manifesto, a new community set up by hobsonphile (go her!) "for the express purpose of celebrating platonic love and friendship in fandom".

I wasn't supposed to be the first, but the others seem to have missed their deadlines. So come on, people, esp gen writers, if you've got some favourite buddies and friendships, tell us about them.
