Vic at the vet, and some Vic pics
Vic is at the vet having his teeth scaled and the lesion on his nose frozen off. They rang me to say that he was so stressed (as he always is there) his heart was racing, so I'm going to bring him home as soon as I can. We were going to leave him there because we thought it was be easier for him to have an Elizabethan collar and be locked in somewhere else, but I'm now sure he'd be a lot happier at home even if he can't go out.
Anyway, here are some photos I took of him recently.
Vic pics.
A ball of Vic, on one of the spare beds.
Vic at our bedroom window. We've started having the blinds up a bit so that the cats don't damage them trying to get through, and they enjoy the better view.
I took this last weekend. Vic loves newspapers (see icon), and as soon as Greg put this one on the cane table to read, Vic leapt onto it. He was in the same position as the cat ornament I put there, but moved slightly. Still, pretty close! You can see the lesion just above his pink nose.

We always say that he looks as if someone poured thick black paint on him and it ran down his sides a little.

I hope his op goes well and he recovers soon.

He came through the op fine but they're keeping him in to see if he'll leave his nose alone so we can get him tomorrow morning without a collar. They said they put him in a bigger cage and the painkillers and sedatives will calm him down. I said I'd get him of he was stressed but they didn't call back, so I'll collect him tomorrow morning.

Poor thing, he will recover with you by his side, I am sure!

Hope he does well. Poor Vic!
We usually have to trim any collar they put on our cats. For some reason they always fit a too big one on and then the poor things can't get at the food!

He's home and looking fairly happy. How he'll feel tonight when we have to give him his meds is another matter.

There was a little cat at the vet whose owner said he had to take the collar off to let her eat. I'm so glad we don't have to have one because though he's normally very laid-back, he gets incredibly stressed by things like that.

Mind you so saying I dread putting one on monkey as he freaks even when he has a collar put on.
He does a classic "aaagh I'm choking!" act.
Every cat is different. Catkin loves playing "dress up".

About our Tomáš - my children and I haven´t approach those relatives since then but as they are George´s brotherˇs family, we do speak with them formally. We will never forgive this murder! Tomáš was the most gentle and harmless cat, more like a pillow, eight years old. We adored him and my mum was his mum too. We love Tygr but he has a different personality, he is a real "tygr". Tomáš was our "Susíček" (suseetshek) - this nickname he received from my son Jirka, who loved him to pieces.

Vic is fine! I just saw him running around in the garden and jumping the fence. :-)
