The Scent of a Vulcan

Star Trek and perfume are not things you'd think of together, but someone has. Genki Wear is going to launch three scents based on ST:TOS.

And what are they? The oh-so-romantically named:

Tiberius "Boldly Go", attracts females of all species. Not me, sorry. Quite apart from Kirk not being what I go for, all I can think of is George Baker in I, Claudius, not exactly the most (or at all) sensual image.

Red Shirt "Because Tomorrow May Never Come". Perhaps a not-so-subtle gift for the guy you're wanting to dump? Yeah, nothing says "surplus to requirements" like Red Shirt cologne / after shave.

Pon Farr "Drive Him Wild" - this one's for the women, which is probably why I couldn't find a picture. >:-[ Sadly it only works every seven years.

I didn't find Pon Farr, but I found this.

I'm holding out for Tribble Juice: the scent that breeds passion - and breeds, and breeds, and breeds...

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
None for me then, thanks very much!

[identity profile] entropy-house.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
You know, if they'd made the bottles into busts of Star Trek characters, *that* might have sold.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
They haven't released them, yet. They may sell really well; who knows. At least as joke presents.

[identity profile] vandonovan.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Ahahaha, hilarious. For the collector who has EVERYTHING.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
A free ripped shirt with every Tiberius!

[identity profile] imhilien.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
'With every purchase of Red Shirt, you get your own erm, red shirt.'

LOL.

[identity profile] toft-froggy.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. That's amazing.

[identity profile] thetisonline.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Now I've heard of everything!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
But probably not dinner that evening. :-P

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Who would have even thought of it!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
And that is the perfect icon!

[identity profile] zoefruitcake.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
I like the idea of the red shirt one best ;0)

[identity profile] vjezkova.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha, I love it! What about WARP DRIVE to boost one´s hidden quality?

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
As a gift for the man you no longer want in your life? ;-) And I know that's not true about your current one, but maybe Martin at the office?

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
Another thrusting masculine scent!

I'm surprised they haven't brought out a Harry Mudd one. Harry Girl: "Show your real beauty"?

[identity profile] vjezkova.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 10:17 am (UTC)(link)
Aaaah, this one!!! Good choice! :-):-)
And what about MCCOY´S MAGIC POTION? A real flytrap for men...

[identity profile] kalypso-v.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I fancy George Baker a lot more than Captain Kirk.

[identity profile] kalinda001.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Did poor McCoy get left out?

Doc - For those females who like some sensitivity, intelligence and a great bedside manner. And who don't think that taking your shirt off at the drop of a hat is an adequate substitute for good old fashioned manners and charm.

Have you seen the trailer for the new Trek pre-quel?

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Bones' boner! [ahem]

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as Tiberius, though!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It would have a faint minty aroma and perhaps be called Julep. :-)
ext_166: Over a Canadian flag: "No, don't you get it? If you die in Canada, you die in real life!" (Uhura)

[identity profile] lizamanynames.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Can I have the one from "Whom Gods Destroy"? 'Cause he was hot.
ext_166: Over a Canadian flag: "No, don't you get it? If you die in Canada, you die in real life!" (WTF)

[identity profile] lizamanynames.livejournal.com 2009-03-16 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
WHAT? No, really, WHAT???

[identity profile] jomacmouse.livejournal.com 2009-03-17 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Can I just say, in regard to your icon, I'd be tempted to do that :D

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-03-17 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, so would I!

[identity profile] bigdamnxenafan.livejournal.com 2009-04-02 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
LOL @ Red Shirt! They are all freakin brilliant, but that's my favorite.

Here's an idea for one...Empathy "For When You Sense Something May Happen" oh troi!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-04-02 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"I sense hostility," she says as an enemy ship powers up weapons.

They should really bring out a Klingon one, Qapla'! for all those people who speak it. :-D

BTW sorry I didn't do the beta yet. I've been feeling a but low, but I'll try to do it this afternoon or tomorrow. :-P

[identity profile] bigdamnxenafan.livejournal.com 2009-04-03 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Snap! Quapla'! LOL that's hilarious you have quite the quick wit my dear.

Or a Ferengi fragrance Dabo! "you might just get lucky". ;)

No worries on the beta whenever you have time. Oh the lovely Todd icons you made for me have been put to good use once again. I'm playing Todd in an rpg comm! It's brilliant!

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry you're feeling low. *hugs* I'm only an email away if you need to chat/vent/whatever. :)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-04-03 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! Or "Acquisition". :-D

I saw a lovely Todd icon but I forget where. I think I mentioned the post (SG icons) to you at the time. How cool that you're RPing him!

It's just that I've been out of work for almost a year now, too many others apply for the same jobs so they never consider me, and I'm avoiding RL friends who always ask "Have you found a job yet?" because I snap at them. Even new people I meet always ask "What do you do?" I usually say "As little as possible" but it's so annoying that one's standing and identity seems tied to work. Anyway I actually had an interview this week so that was encouraging. :-)

And how are you doing? You have a lot more to contend with than me. [huge hugs]

[identity profile] bigdamnxenafan.livejournal.com 2009-04-04 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"Acquisition" LMAO! That's even better. :)

Oh it is so fun to be Todd! Uh yeah, I'm sick. lol He only comes in and out of the plot to stir things up so it's not a constant role. Normally, I play Weir in the comm so Todd is a nice counterpoint. hehe

I can relate to your work situation. I know people mean well, but still that kind of thing can grate on the nerves. *hugs*

I'm well thanks. The tamoxifen makes me nauseous and even more loopy than normal. [livejournal.com profile] executrix sent me some ginger tea that does wonders for the nausea. Don't know what to do about the fact I can't remember what I did five minutes ago. LOL I'm constantly hiding things from myself. Yesterday it was my car keys. Luckily I have Meg she helps me find the stuff I misplaced and even makes it fun. Yesterday I was worrying about losing something again and she looked me and said. "Mama it's so cool to have a treasure hunt everyday!" Then she proceeded to go on the search. hehe

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean. I've played Vila, Dayna, and Kerril in different B7 games, and it's rather fun being snappy and mean like Dayna often is. That's one reason I enjoy writing Avon. :-D

They do mean well, but I want to snap at them, "I'll let you know when I have a job. Until then, talk about something else." But I suppose I don't know them well enough to have a lot of other topics like we do here: fandom for a start.

Ginger is great for nausea! I think you can even put ginger root in boiling water and infuse it that way, and I read you can buy empty capsules and fill them with ginger powder to make your own pills. And awww, Meg is a treasure in herself! :-D

[identity profile] bigdamnxenafan.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
It is kinda fun to be mean. I'm also loving the growling. lol Todd is very emotive in a cantankerous way. I may be taking it too far though. I've even started making entries in the rp journal lol

Still, even well meaning comments can wear on the nerves. You're right there has to be another topic of conversation. However, this is probably their way of expressing concern and they don't realize how tiresome it is or that everyone else you know is asking the same thing. *hugs*

Ginger is wonderful. Can't get through the day without it. And yes Meg is certainly my treasure. :D
