Farewell, SGA

Ah, SGA, I shall miss you.

But that was a great way to go.

"The enormity of empty space" though? Oh, Rodney, how could you?

I was... somewhat worried there at one point, but yay!

And I have to say that I LOVE FLYING CITIES! Yes, James Blish, you have a lot to answer for.

That last scene? Yeah, I knew it would be that. Was it a Star Trek homage by any chance? Probably not but I'd like to think so.

I look forward to the films they've promised.

Where the heck is Torren? Did Teyla leave him back in the Pegasus galaxy with Kannan aka Mr. Plot Device or is he somewhere in the city?

I thought we saw in an earlier episode that the three of them have quarters in the city, so I figured they made the journey to Earth, too.

I look forward to the films they've promised.

I thought those were just SG-1 films, not Atlantis too. But I don't know.

Yes, Teyla has quarters in the city, but I get the impression Kannan lives on the mainland. That's where he was when Michael invaded Atlantis. Could be wrong.

They've promised at least one Atlantis film according to Gateworld and Stargate wiki. Let's hope they follow through. Stargate Universe is slated to start this fall as well.

Stargate Universe looks very interesting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_Universe), and I'm delighted we'll still have an SF series, though why do the women have to be stunningly beautiful? [rolls eyes] Also, I wish them very good luck with "exploring the truly alien, and avoiding the rubber faced English-speaking one". SG1 did well with the Unas, so it can be done (though all those English-speaking medieval cultures got to me). I'm also pleased that we won't have a dominant villain race; in fact it sounds almost Star Trekish.
