Day 26 - Tessa

Today's entry for the naarmamo National Art Making Month challenge is Tessa. I've done Claudia and Vic this month so it's only fair.

Tessa



She's over Greg's shoulder (while he works on his computer) looking very happy. I did it from a rather out-of-focus photo which may explain the fuzziness, but she loved being over our left shoulders, I think because she liked feeling our hearts beat, and it's a memory of her I cherish.

She was very hard to colour, being such a dark brown.

I do have a lovely small watercolour of a brown cat that my sister got a friends of hers to do for my birthday and I like to think it's Tessa.

Whenever she was over Greg's shoulder like that, I had to go over and cuddle her too. She was a dear little girl and very affectionate.

She loved being there on Greg. I used to carry her round the house like that which made her purr with happiness, but when I was at my computer, she'd sit on my lap, her chin on my arm, and I'd type round her. :-) This is her on my chair.

Oh, there's a lump in my throat right now, there really is. She's so beautiful - you've done her up with a gorgeous rich chocholate brown that just looks soft and plush and petable. And she looks like the most loved and content cat on earth.

Possibly one the best paintings of a cat I've seen, and deserves to be turned into wall art on a large canvas.

She was beautiful and this is a beautiful portrait of her.
