Favourite fics meme

I got tagged by lizamanynames to do this, and I found it hard to pick, so I sort of had a bit of a stab.

WRITER'S MEME: Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of the top five favourite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most.

Vila Restal's E-mails - what it says: Vila's e-mails from the Liberator, Scorpio, Xenon Base, and after Gauda Prime. There are four parts (one per season) so the link takes you to my site's fiction page where they're near the top. They're the first fanfic I wrote and I had a lot of fun doing it, esp as they were basically all dialogue and I enjoy writing that.

Pets - the crew end up in another galaxy where they end up as... well, guess. Another one I had loads of fun writing.

Mistaken Identities - my B7 body-swap story, another amusing one to write.

Let There be Light - and now for a change of pace. I wrote this for a Christmas challenge, so Be Warned. I liked the opportunity to explore how religious tradition might change over the centuries, esp when suppressed, and also it's set in Season 2 which had great crew dynamics.

Seven Gifts - a PGP sobfest thought up lying in bed one day, this one I considered too soppy to write. Then when I had, I was uncertain about posting it, but Greg made me do it.

OK, that's three comedies and two angsties. What's in common, apart from Vila (yes, I know), is that fact that they're all ensemble pieces, I do like writing all of them, you know.

I love, love, both "Vila Restal's Emails" and "Let There Be Light"...

What's in common, apart from Vila (yes, I know), is that fact that they're all ensemble pieces, I do like writing all of them, you know.

And it shows; unlike some people who are very one-eyed about their favourite, you do like them all, and that's enjoyable for folks who have their favourites in different order (like, Vila isn't my favourite, but I do like him).

I considered both those! I'm very fond of them too and dithered about putting 'Islands' in instead of one of the others. They'd have both made the cut had it been more than 5. :-)
