Protect your banana!

Discovered in a Gmail ad (while I was discussing food items): The Banana Guard! It comes in nine colours:

  • Ravishing Red
  • Outrageous Orange
  • Mellow Yellow
  • Sublime Green
  • Skyhigh Blue
  • DeepSea Blue
  • Passionate Purple
  • Pretty in Pink
  • Glow in the Dark
"Makes a great gift for banana lovers everywhere." Sorry it's a bit late for Christmas. :-P

Bwahahaha at the FAQs. I like these people.

Oh, I thought for a moment that it was some sort of security device to stop your bananas being raided. That would have been good during the great banana drought of 2006. But that's over now...

I'm sure the glow-in-the-dark one would have been a deterrent, esp with t ticking Geiger counter attached.

I think the prices bananas were going for at the time wouldn't have made that much of a deterrent...

Nifty! I think Lakeland Plastics make something similar.

But they only do them in yellow

I like the bit about 'with the aid of our BananaGuard Holster' best

I don't eat bananas very often, but I'm tempted.

They have Extreme BananaGuarding 'coming soon'. I wonder what that is: taking bananas to new heights and depths?

Hope its flexible plastic, the EEC demands straighter bananas - I kid you not!

They do say you can gently correct the curve of the banana either way.

gamely trying not to read subtext into banana

You need to read the FAQs.

Not sure I dare now!
