Before I draw today's pic for NaArMaMo, here are some photos I took this week.
Remoteness
Greg has so much leave owing, he's been forced to take two weeks off, which he's spent playing Xbox 360 games till he got worried about the tips of his thumbs going numb, and watching TV. When I got home from work the other day, I found him sitting on the couch with a large collection of remotes beside him. Seven of them! :-P
Foggy morning
I think this was Monday. When I first looked out the bedroom window, it was completely foggy. By the time I'd showered and dressed, the fog had retreated to St Johns Park so it looked as if we live by the sea. The 'island' is Mt Eden. Actually, we're not far from the sea, but it's out the other way and you can only see it from the top of our driveway.
Cobweb
Taken at the same time, looking out the same window to the right. It's attached to what's left of an old Ihug dish.

That's really impressive fog!
Pretty spiderweb!

We get heavy fog like that quite often in winter, but a pseudo-sea is quite rare so I snapped it.
I was pleased the web came out so well. :-)

I've seen the valley here looking like that, you're photo has captured it, fantastic.
There is nothing more beautiful than an orb web with the dew fresh on it.
Two beautiful pictures and one very quirky one.

I highly recommend One-For-All (http://www.oneforall-int.com/comfiles/flashnew.html) remotes if you get sick of switching between them. I got one because you can crack the region coding on various standalone DVD players with those, but it's really handy when you can control several devices with one remote. Mine controls the telly, the DVD player and also the VCR before it died. Flashier ones can also control digiboxes, satellite, just about everything. They are pricey but worth every penny, IMHO.

Both TiVo remotes in that pic do two TiVos each (yes, we have four, and last night we were recording on three channels at once, bastard programmers for putting two new shows up against each other and The Sporanos). Then there's an Xbox 360 one and a games thingy, the Sky one that you have to get separately, then TV and DVD. Greg did have a learning remote but it can be a pain remembering what you've put where on it.
We also use the Xbox 360 to play our downloaded programs, but Greg's next PC will be one that can act as a media centre which will simplify things considerably. :-P
