Somnolent summery susurrations of cicadas

Yay! I can hear the first cicadas in the trees outside. To me it's the sound of summer which I regard as truly here now.

I'm hearing them too - I'm glad it's summer now. However, would the humidity please stop now...

Yeah, seconded. I've been veging out all weekend in front of a fan because I don't have the energy to do anything. :-(

Hey, how about another lunch this week or next? We can go to Ellie's in Kingdon Street this time. It's my regular cafe; they do good healthy food and they're very quick.

Yes, I would like to have lunch with you again - I don't mind what day. Sometime this week?

I haven't been to Ellie's before but it sounds nice. Quick service sounds even better, lol.

I've had a busy weekend - went out with a friend on Friday night, had the work Xmas do on Saturday night (good) and went out today with a friend to see GOF (she hadn't seen it yet). Phew! Must try and have an early night tonight...

Cool! OK, later this week, then (I just boiled some eggs and made salad for tomorrow). Ellie's does salads and kebabs and burgers of excellent quality (I have a salad). They're on Kingdon St, over the railway line on the right with an orange sign. It's the second orange sign; the first is Skazka, the Russian deli. Nice people, too.

I'll look forward to it!

And was that your second visit to GoF? Did you notice more and different things?

Ellie's sounds great - we'll definitely have to go there.

I certainly noticed more details when I went to see Gof again...

The scene where Cedric's father breaks down and cries brought a lump to my throat again. The line where Sirius says to Harry, "The devils are inside the walls!" sent a chill down my spine.

The Weasley twins still rock!

Lucius is still someone I love to hate.

Still loved the scene where Snape pulls up his cuffs with a long-suffering expression on his face, as well as the scene where he gently puts a hand on Dumbledore's back at the (disastrous) end of the tournament.

OK, Thursday or Friday then. :-)

I love the Weasley twins!

And I didn't notice! Oh, nice touch (so to speak). It lends credence to my theory about them.

Hey, I'll send you a cute B7 at Hogwarts story someone wrote (the Lyst archive is down). ROTFL!

Great!

Look forward to the story - can just imagine Avon and Snape trying to out-sneer each other...

Um, it's not like that. It's hard to explain--an AU where Harry and the others are the B7 people as kids--but Snape is in it. It's very funny and works so well. I'll look for it and forward it tonight.
