My parents lost a cat to anaesthetic reaction before I was born - she was Emma, our Rosa's sister, and I wish I'd had a chance to know her, because my parents loved them both very much. She had a slightly sweeter disposition than Rosa, but was shyer, they tell me.

And hell, now I miss Rosa, too.
