I like that explanation! So if you photograph W. in black and white, you are, in fact, showing your latent affinity for his way of thinking.

(Okay, I'm way overthinking this, thus hopefully showing my lack of affinity for his way of thinking. Hm, I guess I'd shoot him in color.)
