Ashley is 8

We're not sure when Ashley's birthday is, but we celebrate it on 1 May. She's the oldest of the three by a couple of months, though she seems the youngest, being so small (3kg), soft, playful, and kittenish.


Ashley standing on her tail on a windowsill. She's the only cat I've known who does that. She wraps her tail around herself and deliberately places first one front paw, then the other. I love the stripes between each toe.

She's fascinated by the printer. When we print anything, she runs in, jumps up onto the shelf where the printer is, and watches curiously. (Yes, those are Big Bang Theory bobbleheads).

When I come home, she runs to meet me, then rolls over to let me rub her tummy. She goes very silvery outside in the sunlight.

She is adorable. She really does look sweet and soft. I love the black plush on the underneath of her paws, with silver pads!

Black-footed cats, the smallest of all cats, live in Africa, and they look very like Ashley with her black feet. I have to wonder if she has one in her family tree. Another photo of one here.

Wow, how time flies!

Happy birthday to Ashley. She is a really beautiful girl and small! Mine have had the annual health check and injections this morning. India was 5.6kg and Inka 4.8kg and neither of them are what you'd call fat :) India and Inka were born in May but I don't know the day so I celebrate on 31st May. They will be 9 :)

It does! It doesn't seem that long since I got her.

I suppose Ashley had a bad start in life, having been a feral kitten living in a field. She's always very healthy at check-ups though. Sebastian and Jasmin are about the same weights as India and Inka, though Jasmin doesn't look much bigger than Ashley; Burmese have heavy bones, and she's a muscly little thing.

What a pretty cat! I love all her markings, in particular the silvery tummy. Is she and inside-and-outside cat, or just one? May 1 is a good cat birthday!

They're all inside/outside cats. They have a cat door that only they can get through with their microchips, and they have a fenced yard down a long driveway; life here is pretty safe.
